Carrie Underwood reveals she used to ‘lose respect’ for singers who ‘can’t hit the notes’ in concert
Natalie Maines has been one of the top female country music artists of the 21st century but she has also endured more than one of the worst tragedies in her professional career.
After Carrie Underwood’s last album ‘Live For You’ received lukewarm reviews from critics and fans alike, it was not long before she was fired from her second album ‘Bolder In Love’.
The singer is now set to release her third album ‘Love Story’ later this month.
As she prepares for her first concert in two years, she admitted that it was not easy to let go of her past demons which included the singer-songwriter’s first two albums ‘Live For You’ and ‘Bolder In Love’
“I’m very grateful for the people I’ve met along the way,” she told GQ.
“I was able to come out here and show my fans that everything was going to be fine, that I’m very grateful for the fans that have supported me for 12 years.”
‘Live For You’ and ‘Bolder In Love’ were both released in the summer of 2010 which was the peak of Underwood’s success as the country singer was also a finalist on The Voice in 2009.
‘Live For You’, which charted at number two, saw her team up with the country superstars Clint Black and Sara Evans and reached number one on the country album charts.
